Product Description
Vince Noir and Howard Moon return for a third series of this cult comedy hit featuring another fantabulous mix of surreal humour, musical interludes, shiny clothes and strange haircuts.
Now working in Naboo's second hand shop, 'Nabootique', Howard mainly whiles away the hours in delusions of grandeur whilst unsuccessfully trying to sell his esoteric jazz records, while Vince lays around in a hammock playing loud music, trying on wigs and finding Howard ludicrous.
They assemble their usual accomplices, including Naboo the enigma and Bollo the ape, reunite us with some familiar faces including the Hitcher, the Moon and Bob Fossil, as well as introducing us to a whole host of new characters.
Amazon.co.uk Review
Is there anything on television quite like The Mighty Boosh? Bluntly, who cares, for the ongoing adventures and antics of Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt remain a comedic treat, even if season three does have its up and down moments.
Lets temper that, quickly: The Mighty Boosh on one of its lesser days can still generate more laughs than 90% of other modern-day comedy series, and thats certainly the case with the six episodes here. Lead characters Howard and Vince are found working in the Nabootique this time, and its not long before theyre joined by some old favourites. Cue Bob Fossil, the sublime Shamen, and the Moon, among others.
If theres one downside to The Mighty Booshs third season, it is perhaps a little too much self-indulgence, which occasionally tempers things. But then thats set against some brilliantly ambitious episodes, some of the finest surrealist humour on the telly, and the terrific Crack Fox.
Theres little denying that as a show, The Mighty Boosh can easily be classed as bizarre, bonkers, and straight-out odd. But here, thats turned into the shows strength. And given the side-splitting laughs it continues to generate, we wouldnt have it any other way. --Jon Foster

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 February 2008I was slightly dubious about buying Series 3 on DVD on reading many reviews which plainly said that it was not as good as Series 1 + 2. However, I placed my faith in the boosh and bought a copy. =] And I'm really glad I did!
Some people have been saying that some of the new themes and jokes are 'unfunny'. I have to disagree with this, as like the first two series I watched Series 3 with a permanent smile on my face and found myself laughing out loud on many occasions. The humour has been taken to a new level in Series 3, with bizarre ideas that really do work. I thought it was great!
I feel that Noel, Julian, Rich etc have brought their characters to a new dimension with Series 3, further developing them quite successfully. I believe they have explored more of their potential as characters, and in doing so you find out more about them and grow to love them more. It's things like their hang-ups which really make them loveable - e.g. Howard Moon's obsessive ordering of 'Stationary Village'. I think it is good that they have exposed some of the faults in their own characters, which in turn makes us feel better about ourselves too! I have to mention Rich Fulcher, who I found really quite annoying in Series 1. In Series 3 he changed his act and played very convincing roles. I thought he was particularly good as a woman! Therefore I must give a clap to Rich for developing his acting further to be in the current style of the new boosh.
I know the Boosh does not like being described as 'surreal' (sorry guys!) but I cannot imagine how else to describe it! I thought that Series 3 became even more so. I have to say that this is what I expected from the Boosh - they seem to be on a escalating scale where they continue to develop their ideas further to great effect. They have really pulled off their new ideas well and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the show.
What made the show even better is the use of computer graphics/special effects e.g. The Hitcher's 'Eels' song. I think this makes the show a lot funkier and exciting. I Like how they brought the Hitcher back as in doing this, the fans get to find out more about him.
Series 1 + 2 were very rustic without a polished look, which was particularly good. I still think that this theme exists in Series 3 with the authentic and rather enchanting Nabootique. I will quote one reviewer in that they commented that the shop is a place for new adventures. I totally agree!
Overall, I don't think the Boosh have run out of new ideas. It is still original with new, updated themes which makes it a very hard act to follow. I believe it still has that cult aspect to it, although it had broadened to the wider market. Surely this is a good thing though, so everyone can appreciate the magic of the Boosh?
I thoroughly enjoyed Series 3 as the Boosh is just getting better. I love each series individually for what they are. Series 1 + 2 are classics, but the Boosh must move onwards and upwards! It is getting bigger and better all the time and I think this is just the beginning! I believe they will continue to produce great material and not lose the magic.
I was not aware there would be a 4th series - That would be FABBY if they did write another one! ;D I can't get enough of the Boosh!
Well done Noel, Julian, Rich, Mike and others for this brilliant third series! I would certainly recommend it to any fans of the Boosh.
------> Charlie, a happy boosh fan ^_^
P.S > Can't wait to see the Boosh live in November '08!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 March 2008I first heard about the Boosh on Gary Numan's website (a genius of another kind!) and went looking for them on YouTube in hopes of seeing Gary's cameo in Series 3. What I found instead was the clip from Series 1 with Vince pulling out his huge stack of Numan tapes on a road trip with Howard, who only wants to listen to "jazz's deformed cousin" (in Vince's words), jazz bebop. My husband and I have, for years, had similar Numan vs. Jazz arguments on long road trips, so, of course, I was immediately hooked and am now the proud owner of all three series.
I have to agree completely with those who found a lot to like in Series 3. I did not find it disappointing in any way - the many characters played by Julian, Noel, and Rich never cease to amaze and entertain me; the musical numbers are wonderful; the costumes, art direction and stage sets are fantastic. And, of course, I got to see Gary Numan, too! I really would like to own the round monkey face clock on the wall of the Nabootique. Noel could probably make a successful business out of selling Boosh artwork. And long live Stationary Village! Their world is a place I could happily be lost in.
Other noteworthy things: The Board of Shamen are hilarious - "Tony Harrison" cracks me up every time he speaks. Glad they showed up again in the new series. I love Naboo and Bollo - Michael Fielding is so perfect in that part, and his relationship with Bollo is completely charming, kudos to Dave Brown for putting up with that uncomfortable costume! The DVD artwork design is especially inventive and well done, and the DVD extras are much appreciated - those audio titles are very useful for someone like me who can't always make out the English accents (and, by the way, the short film "Sweet" on the Series 2 extras with Noel and his imaginary girlfriend Poppy was a hoot). You won't get anything like this on American television (I am sure many of those sexual jokes wouldn't make it past network censors), and it is a shame. Thank you Julian and Noel for your creativity and brilliance, which did not disappoint me in Series 3 in any way!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 June 2013I have all tree series of the Mighty Boosh on DVD and this is probably my favourite. Still vary whacky and 'out there' just as the other two are.
I was introduced to The Mighty Boosh at work and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
How best to describe The Mighty Boosh? It's hard to do but if you like comedy that is a bit "out there", strange, weird and sometimes not making much sense at all; if you like comedies that are original and have people looking at you and saying "what the heck is this?" with amusement and/or bafflement, then this is possibly for you.
This series takes us away from the flat in series two and now we see the team living and working in a shop called "Nabootique".
The green-skinned Hitcher makes an appearance again in this series (yay! my favourite character)
This is a double DVD which as 4 of the 6 episodes on disk 1 the remainder on disk 2, along with, out-takes, deleted scenes, the making of series 3 and commentary by the main cast on various episodes.
Oh, and by the way; you can get these series in a 3-series box set for £17, but if you buy the series separately you save about £5.
So, all-in-all a great, funny, weird series. Awesome!

5.0 out of 5 stars This Is OUTRAAAGEOUS!
Yes, sadly, this is the FINAL season of the Boosh. That surreal British comedy import that Americans love so much. If you haven't seen the show before, I suggest tuning into Cartoon Network's 'Adult Swim' program and trying to catch it there if you're trepidacious about the product (or check YouTube). I personally think it's genius! I must say I'm a big Monty Python and Young Ones fan, so if those are your cup of tea (pardon the pun), BOOSH is for you! Another touchstone might be Flight Of The Conchords, since The Boosh use several musical bits in each show (which are likely to wedge in your unconscious like a golden splinter). The third season has some of the best episodes (IMHO), though that's a mighty hard call. This season takes place in a second hand shop called the Nabootique, where their encounter with the urban Crack Fox (yes, that kind of crack and that kind of fox) is deliriously absurd! Another meeting with The Hitcher (a Cockney psychopath) goes as far into nightmare territory as you're likely to willingly follow The BOOSH, and the Spirit Of Jazz manifests through Vince in the most hilarious way (he's allergic to Jazz y'know) and may surpass The Hitcher for most terrifying character. My top personal top episodes are: Tundra & Ape Of Death (from Season One), The New Sound & Old Gregg (from Season Two), Crack Fox & Spirit Of Jazz (from Season Three). If you have the other seasons, it's a no-brainer to finish the meal with number three. If you own none, I'd suggest picking them up in order, as this world makes a bit more sense when viewed chronologically; at least giving you SOME kind of footing to gauge the antics from. And by the way...I'm nominating this show for most satisfying final episode on TV, as they opted for a feelgood vibe that will have these characters forever bouncing through the universe of your mind in the most pleasant way. Screw the final shock episodes of the 90s...this is how you do it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spettacolare
Spedizione rapida ed efficiente come sempre con Amazon. DVD disponibile solo in inglese. Adoro la comicità di Noel Fielding e Julian Barratt. L'intera serie é ridicola, surreale a tratti anche non-sense. Davvero spettacolare!

5.0 out of 5 stars Could not be happier withthe product.
Could not be happier with the product. Great series and great extras. Vince and Howard are, as always, completely adorable (particularly Vince), Bob Fossil is, as always, entirely obnoxious, Naboo is still short and sweet, Bollo is still sweet, but not so short. This is my favourite show in the world, and I am so thrilled that the third series is not compromised in quality when compared to the first two series.

5.0 out of 5 stars As expected.
Arrived in one piece. Season 1 and 3 arrived next day, as expected, season two is expected to arrive today (day two). Ordered all 3 seasons for a dual gift for my bf and I. He introduced me to this show when we first started using Prime, and they had it available to watch for free. When it was no longer available, I missed it so bad! Now we can watch it whenever we want. Definitely my best investment this holiday season. Made us both happy.
