This is a wonderful western starring the brilliant and sometimes cynical Lee Van Cleef as a gang of outlaws try to outwit the Mexican Army and steal some gold along the way. Gina Lollobrigida supplies the glamour and James Mason adds a star quality to this movie as well. The supporting cast do quite well and the stunning scenery adds some dimension to this sometimes underrated western.
