In THE BEAR, a baby bear cub is left orphaned when its mother is killed by a land slide. A male bear finds the cub and protects it from two hunters in the area. The huntsmen are keen to kill the male bear and capture the cub.
RUNNING FREE is the story of an orphaned boy who rescues a young colt from a life of hard labour in the copper mines. Together they strive to find the freedom that they so desire.
In FLY AWAY HOME, a 13-year-old girl is forced to move in with her eccentric father after the tragic death of her mother and finds a sense of purpose when she discovers a nest of abandoned goose eggs. After nurturing them to hatching stage and becoming their surrogate 'Mother Goose', she and her father struggle to devise a way to lead them south for the winter, ultimately sending the girl skyward in a makeshift ultralight plane.
