Being a big John Carpenter fan, and having enjoyed his previous outings with Kurt Russell; 'Escape form New York' and 'The Thing', I was really looking forward to this. Sadly, I was disappointed with this effort. The story has a lot of potential, but is is spoilt by too much silly humour. It is more of a cartoon type story, and far removed form JC's earlier movies. If you enjoy action, mixed with a little childish fun, then give this a go. For me it was OK as a rental, but won't be included in my collection.
