The British Navy is under threat from the Spanish and is forced to accept any willing sailor , including the incompetent Midshipman
Albert Poop - Decker ( Bernard Cribbins ) . After stumbling into a notorious tavern called Dirty Dicks , Poop - Decker is mistakenly press - ganged onto his own ship. His identity is stolen by Dirty Dicks girl Sally ( Juliet Mills ) , who masquerades as Poop - Decker
in order to get on board . The Captain ( Kenneth Williams ) is
completely fooled by Sally's disguise , condemning the real
Poop - Decker to the company of cesspit cleaner Walter Sweetley
( Charles Hawtrey ) Bags of fun on the high seas.
