As a violent, scary piece of horror this is a success.
But as a classic example of engaging British Horror this is a failure.
For every classy shot and shock there are some awful cliches to go with the acting and it seems this film only wants to be one thing - American. If you want to watch a quick film that will scare you and make you sick (it is horifically violent) watch this, but anything deeper than that you might try searching elsewhere.
