Summary: This sequel to 'The Robe' continues the story of Demetrius, the Greek slave who, after the death of his master, is sentenced to train as a gladiator in the Roman arena. Emperor Caligula has two things on his mind: gladiatorial displays and gaining possession of the robe which fell from Jesus on the cross and is now in the hands of Demetrius (Victor Mature). Caligula and Messalina, young wife of the Emperor's uncle Claudius, work together to get the robe away from Demetrius, who ends up fighting as a gladiator. The epic sequel to the smash hit THE ROBE.
