This release includes the classic FLASH GORDON serials starring Buster Crabbe as the titular hero. SPACE SOLDIERS was first film version of the popular comic strip, and begins with a distant planet, broken from its orbit, heading straight for Earth. Renowned scientist Dr. Hans Zarkov (Frank Shannon) builds an escape rocket and is joined by ex-Yale football star Flash Gordon and Dale Arden (Jean Rogers), a beautiful young woman Flash has just met. They land on the fantastic runaway planet, Mongo, only to tangle with its evil ruler, Ming the Merciless (Charles Middleton), who has dastardly plans for our three heroes.
In CONQUERS THE UNIVERSE Flash discovers that the Emperor Ming of the planet Mongo is dusting the Earth with a poisonous mist called 'The Purple Death'. Our hero, Dale Arden (Carol Hughes) and Dr. Zarkov must join forces in Mongo, discover an antidote and destroy Ming.
