Features three classic British comedies: FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL, THE FULL MONTY and JACK AND SARAH.
FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL – Charles (Hugh Grant, in what would become career-defining performance) is a confirmed British bachelor with a colourful romantic background who meets the perfect woman, Carrie (Andie MacDowell), at a friend's wedding. However, Charles's hopes of romance are dashed when Carrie announces she must return to America the next morning. The two continue to cross paths at other people's weddings, never finding each other at a time when both are single. As all of Charles's friends find love, he's left wondering if he will ever be the one going to the altar.
THE FULL MONTY – In hopes of raising a few quid after their steel factory shuts down, a desperate group of working-class blokes in Sheffield decide to form an exotic male dance troupe a la Chippendales, but with one difference. Despite their, well, average-at-best physiques, they're going to go the 'full monty', meaning they'll offer their audience total nudity. Surprisingly bittersweet moments and well-intentioned social commentary imbue this raucous, feel-good comedy.
JACK AND SARAH – In this charming romantic comedy, Jack (Richard E. Grant), a recently widowed father, quickly learns that his yuppie lifestyle and workaholic ways don't mesh too well with a new baby's needs. Overwhelmed by the responsibilities of caring for his infant daughter, he hires Amy (Samantha Mathis), an American waitress, to be the baby's nanny. Though she's completely inexperienced, Amy soon turns out to be the only voice of reason in Jack's chaotic world. The film also stars Judi Dench and Ian McKellen in supporting roles.
