This biographical pictures tells the story of famed scientist/theorist Galileo Galilei (Topol, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF) as he reaches a pivotal point in his life. At the crux of the Plague and the Reformation, the Catholic Inquisition placed many forward thinkers at risk. Galileo was no different, and was pinned under the demands of science, government, and church. Spurred by a new student, Galileo uses new telescope technology to prove that Earth is not the centre of the universe -- a theory that proves heretical in his society.
