The visionary, mischievous master of surreal satire, Luis Bunuel (BELLE DE JOUR, DIARY OF A CHAMBERMAID), mixes up an exotic cocktail of suspense, thriller, romance, melodrama and social commentary to create his own individual take on the Hollywood musical. Made in 1946 this is the first film Luis Bunuel directed in Mexico after officially being accepted as a citizen.
