When a 17 year-old delivery boy named Tak who drives an 'Eight-Six', a street term for the Toyota Trueno AE86, begins to casually get involved with the street racing scene, he unexpectedly goes up against a street racing legend in one of his first races. In these episodes, Tak agrees to race the Akagi Red Suns on the Mt. Akina course. Though he is more familiar with the track than his opponents, Tak will need more than experience on his side to defeat the undefeated Red Suns.
