This double-episode collection includes the series premiere, THE DEAD OF JERICHO, which introduces the world to Inspector Morse (John Thaw), an enigmatic and often grouchy police investigator. In this episode, Morse looks into the death of Anna Stavely (Gemma Jones), which appears to be a suicide. However, Morse has his own reasons to believe otherwise. Morse is joined for the first time by Sergeant Lewis (Kevin Whately), forming a lasting partnership. Also included is THE SILENT WORLD OF NICHOLAS QUINN, in which Morse looks into a deadly game of cheating at Oxford University.
