In CAHILL - US MARSHALL (1973) Wayne plays an ageing U.S. Marshall who finds that his sons are suspects in a robbery he is investigating. In RIO BRAVO (1959) a cowboy who is just passing through town teams up with a Sheriff and together they defend the townspeople against marauding outlaws. In the classic Western, The SEARCHERS (1956) a husband and wife are killed by Indians, their daughter is taken; the husbands brother sets out to track the Indians down and bring the daughter back. In the COWBOYS (1972) a rancher recruits a group of schoolboys to help him drive his cattle.
