Of the many weapons introduced in World War II, one of the most frightening was the human suicide bomber. Japanese kamikaze pilots would put honour before life by flying into military targets with the very plane they were piloting. Emperor Hirohito assigned more than 2000 men to this fate in a development so terrifying to the United States that the atomic bomb was seen as the only way to stop it. This documentary questions the motivations of these suicide pilots, presenting archival footage and thoroughly-researched facts.
