This adaptation of Robert Shaw's play is part of the American Film Theatre series, conceived in the 1970s by producer Ely Landau, and meant to be shown theatrically just like a play, with tickets sold in advance. Arthur Goldman stars as an eccentric Jewish tycoon who watches over his financial empire from a Manhattan penthouse. However, when Israeli agents arrest Goldman and put him on trial as Adolph Dorf, a former concentration commandant, his vitriolic diatribes take on a whole new meaning. Featuring an exceptional performance by Maximilian Schell, THE MAN IN THE GLASS BOOTH is a searing and thought-provoking drama.
