In Lu Chuan's THE MISSING GUN, Ma Shan (Jiang Wen), a small-town policeman, wakes up one morning, after a wild night out, to discover that his gun is missing. Since firearms are rare in rural China, this is a serious offence, and Ma Shan must find the state-issued weapon and its three bullets as fast as possible. During his search, events take a sinister turn when his first love turns up dead, and the bullet appears to be from his gun. He must track it down before the killer uses the other two bullets...
