Summary: THE MUMMY: QUEST FOR THE LOST SCROLLS is the first volume of a brand new animated spin-off of the hit movie THE MUMMY. Based in the 1930s and featuring the same characters as the film, the series follows the exploits of Alex O'Connell and his parents, Rick and Evy, who travel the world with their son doing battle with the evil Mummy Imhotep and his legions of the undead. In this first installment, the O'Connells race to find the the sacred scrolls of Thebes, which contain the secrets of the mysterious Manacle chained to Alex's arm. Unfortunately, the Mummy also wants the Manacle so that he can harness its incredible powers to rule the Earth, and he will stop at nothing to reach the sacred scrolls of Thebes before the O'Connells.
