Summary: In 2004, Pavla Fleischer met and fell in love with Eugene Hutz, frontman of the Gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello. In an attempt to get to know the singer better, Fleischer asked if she could make a film about him, as he travelled his native Ukraine in search of musical inspiration. The resulting documentary, THE PIED PIPER OF HUTZOVINA, is an intimate portrait of a gifted musician, told through the rose-tinted lens of its director.
