Xavier (Romain Duris) is a straight-laced 25-year old French guy who flies to Barcelona to participate in a study abroad program and escape his academia-obsessed father. He eventually moves in with an eclectic group of fellow exchange students from all over Western Europe, and finds his horizons broadened by each. Set in the magnificence of Barcelona, POT LUCK is a nostalgic travelogue through Xavier's youthful and anxious wanderings. Politically, the film explores issues of ethnicity and international stereotypes, but shot through a comedic lens.


Romain Duris, Audrey Tautou and Kelly Riley resume their roles for the sequel RUSSIAN DOLLS, which picks up five years later as the group of friends meets up again. Xavier, now 30, finds he hasn't moved on much at all, his novel is still unwritten and his love life is a mess. However with a new reunion around each corner can his luck change?
