RAZZLE DAZZLE is a mockumentary set in Mr. Jonathon's Dance Academy, where the child dancers--known as The Jazzketeers--prepare to compete in an Australian dance competition. Mr. Jonathon (Ben Miller, THE PAROLE OFFICER, MOVING WALLPAPER) has to contend with difficult parents, rivalries with other dance schools and controversy over his choices of routines in order to create educational and informative dance routines that reflect global political issues. Miller puts in a fantastic turn as offbeat dance choreographer Mr. Jonathon, the creator of the Kyoto Protocol Shuffle. The English actor is ably supported by the Australian cast featuring Kerry Armstrong (LANTANA) and Denise Roberts (THE DISH) as a pair of eccentric mothers. This sweet natured comedy has similarities with fellow Australian film KENNY, if not in subject matter, then as a soft-hearted and frequently hilarious mockumentary.
