Summary: A Samurai Warrior travels to America to search for a priceless sword, stolen by a gang of cowboy bandits.

It is the 19th century, and two criminals, Link and Gotch, have a falling out after robbing a train. As a result, Gotch not only takes off with the money, but with a priceless golden sword owned by a Samurai passenger named Kuroda. Despite their cultural differences and initial hostility, Kuroda and Link pair up to find Gotch. The vengeful duo eventually track him down--only to find that a violent twist of events will change their lives forever... The great Toshiro Mifune is an excellent match for the stoic Bronson under the direction of James Bond regular Terence Young (DR NO etc) with a score from Maurice Jarre.

This is one of Charles Bronsons better films, I preferred to see his westerns rather than any of his other films and this one stands out because of the superfluous cast. Alain Delon probably did not make many westerns but as the backstabbing former partner, he was ok. Toshiro Mifune in his all too well known Samurai role was spot on with his wise cracking patter when being wound up by Bronson, and his swordplay is second to none. The tale of honour, integrity and redemption is foremost in this film and Ursula Andress as the bit on the side.......
