Stars: David McCallum, Joanna LumleySummary: This unusual late 1970s/early 1980s sci-fi series features Joanna Lumley and David McCallum as Sapphire and Steel (respectively), otherworldly operatives who appear as humans on Earth to right mysterious wrongs in the fabric of time. In ASSIGNMENT IV (four episodes), Sapphire and Steel face the Shape, an evil entity that can move between dimensions through photographs. ASSIGNMENT V (six episodes) involves murder and a dinner party. Finally, ASSIGNMENT VI (four episodes) focuses on malevolent time-travellers called Transient Beings.
