Peter Cushing stars as sleuth Sherlock Holmes in this version of Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous mystery about a supernatural hound on Dartmoor who repeatedly threatens the each descendant of a noble English family, the Baskervilles. This faithful adaptation features actual Dartmoor locations, and Peter Cushing reprises his role as the detective following his performance in 1959 in a typically hammy Hammer production. The emphasis this time is on the mystery rather than the horror, with Nigel Stock as an excellent Dr Watson. A two-part episode from the 1960s BBC TV series.
