Summary: Music producers and visual artists have been given the same access to archive footage of space exploration over the last forty years to sample and mix as they wish in order to produce twenty six very different audiovisual tracks.

Spaced Out is the second title in the Moonshine Movies AV:X series - the audio/visual experience that fuses film and electronic music. Drawing from the archives of NASA, Spaced Out started out as a collaborative project between some of the UK's most respected visual artists, who have provided visuals for the likes of The Orb, Paul Oakenfold, and Fat Boy Slim, and for legendary clubs including London's Ministry of Sound and Turnmills, and Manchester's infamous Hacienda.
Brian Kane - one of the founder members of the US audiovisual outfit EBN (Emergency Broadcast Network) and Ninja Tune's Coldcut, push the boundaries of audiovisual mixing and remixing as they give their unique treatment to the pool of NASA archive footage to sample and remix from. Sampling from four decades of out-of-this-world footage, Spaced Out embarks on an audiovisual space odyssey of its own, with deep chilled audiovisual electronica for the new century.
