Summary: The first part of this programme, TITANIC: DISASTER IN THE ATLANTIC, is a 1929 movie based on the play THE BERG by Ernest Raymond. Released in the UK as ATLANTIC, this motion picture was the first feature sound film based on the RMS Titanic disaster. The second part of the DVD, THE TITANIC CHRONICLES, presents a dramatic re-enactment of the 1912 US Senate hearings that investigated the sinking of the Titanic. These hearings offered detailed eyewitness accounts and revealed several distinct points of view on the disaster.
