Summary: On the small Scottish island of Ronansay the local school is under threat from closure because it has too few pupils. The locals take out an advert in the papers to entice a young family to move to island. Single mum Abby Wallace replies to the advert and persuades her best friend Kenny to pose as her husband. They manage to fool the locals and before long Kenny, Abby and her two children move to Ronansay.

The remote Scottish Island of Ronansay advertise for young families to re-locate there, to replace the dwindling population. Abby Wallace (Michelle Collins) lives on a London housing estate with her two young children and decides to apply but needs to have a husband to qualify! So she enlists her best friend Kenny (Paul Kaye) as her husband and they set off for their 'interview' and the beginning of an idyllic new life
