Combining martial arts with off-beat humour, this collection proves an entertaining treat for those who indulge in comedy, as well as those who prefer to escape into a world of action and adventure. The collection includes UNLEASHED, CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON and KUNG FU HUSTLE. In UNLEASHED, Danny is a human attack dog for a powerful mobster he calls Uncle Bart. When Bart and his men go out on their collection runs, they bring Danny, who has been trained since he was a child to fight to kill. But when a turf war ends up in bloody carnage, Danny escapes and is taken in by a kind family consisting of blind piano tuner Sam and his teenage stepdaughter, Victoria. They teach Danny how to be a real person, to be able to act civilly in society. They also allow Danny to explore his love of the piano, where a specific tune haunts him, bringing up repressed memories from his long-ago past. Just when Danny thinks he has escaped from his former life, he is pulled back in, but he is no longer the trained dog Bart thinks he is. CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON is set during the nineteenth century in China and is the tale of Li Mu Bai, a martial arts expert. He entrusts his magic sword called Green Destiny to a wizard named Yu Shu Lien. Whilst in her care the sword is stolen and together they set out to recover it. KUNG FU HUSTLE is set in 1930s Hong Kong, whereby Sing, a shaggy-haired, would-be bad guy, gets caught up in the middle of a war between the top-hat-wearing Axe gang and the hard scrabble inhabitants of Pig Sty Alley. Already in a bit of a pickle, Sing is further confronted by a range of absurd characters: a landlady in curlers who has a yell that can flatten buildings and a mental patient in pink flip-flops named 'the Beast', who catches bullets in his fingers. Sing does his best to survive the outrageous battle of Pig Sty Alley, a battle in which people get kicked across courtyards and through walls and musician assassins whip ghost sabres from lyre strings.
