Kurt Weill's STREET SCENE is a seminal work in the American opera genre. Loosely based upon Gershwin's PORGY AND BESS, the opera underwent a revival following its British premiere in 1989 and is performed here under the direction of James Holmes with the Rheinland State Philharmonic Orchestra.
