A YEAR WITHOUT LOVE tells the tragic story of a young gay man named Pablo (Juan Minujín) who is fighting a losing battle with AIDS. With time running out, he sets out to find love in bars and the lonely hearts ads, but only finds temporary gratification in the sex clubs of Buenos Aires. It’s here that Pablo discovers a fascination with unconventional sexual practices. This rejuvenates and inspires him to write his memoirs.
